Ana Paula Montes (San José, 1978) is an architect and social urbanist. She is currently postdoctoral researcher at the National Autonomous University of México. Her latest book will be realized in 2023 under the title Pandemia y Desigualdad. Perspectivas Socio-espaciales del Confinamiento en América Latina. She specializes in contemporary cultural geography, ecology, critical urbanism, and spatial feminism, with an emphasis on gender studies and digital media studies. She has an accumulated experience of 15 years, teaching and serving various universities in Costa Rica, Spain and Mexico.
